My Story

My journey of becoming a Registered Orthomolecular Health Practitioner (ROHP) began during my studies in physiotherapy in 2009. Working as a Physiotherapist, I became very aware of the education gap in my field between healing and nutrition. To further my knowledge in nutrition, I completed a 2 year diploma in Orthomolecular Health in 2014. An ROHP is a qualified healthcare professional that specializes in maintaining or restoring biochemistry and physiology in the body for optimum health and well-being. The designation is given by the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants (IONC). This diploma gave me the education in nutrition at the cellular level I was searching for.

My nutrition practice focuses on a wholistic, natural, plant-based approach to health and healing. I am a firm believer that everything in our bodies is intricately connected. How we look after our body through the nutrients we give it, the exercise we choose to do, and the mindset we have, all have a direct impact on our health and our ability to heal. I am very passionate in creating long-lasting change with my clients. And bring awareness and appreciation around the importance of health promoting food choices and maintaining a healthy balanced lifestyle.

Our bodies not only need quality nutrients to thrive but also the right balance of movement and exercise. Being an outdoor enthusiast in hiking, mountain biking, skiing, kayaking and trail running, fuelling my body with the right balance of nutrients is extremely important to me. Keeping fit through cross training as well as practicing yoga and meditation regularly allows me to maintain my active lifestyle, feel energized, healthy and balanced throughout the year.
I completed my 400hr Yoga Therapy training in the fall of 2019. This experience has expanded my knowledge and awareness of how important our mind-body connection is to our health and healing. The key to great health requires a clear mind, balanced body and peaceful soul.
