Crazy Easy Apple Sauce

This is seriously the easiest recipe ever! And if you love apple sauce you will love this! I use it in some of my baked goods recipes as a healthy sweetener : )


~Vegan & Gluten-Free~


easy apple sauce recipe

Ingredients:

6 large Organic apples**

3 tsp Cinnamon

2 1/2 cups Water

Remove core and chop apples into about 1 inch cubes. Using a large sauce pan add apples, water and cinnamon and and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and stir occasionally. Simmer for about 10 minutes or until apples can be easily punctured with a fork. Pour into blender and blend on high until smooth. Store in glass jars. Can be kept in fridge for about 1 week or stored in freezer for up to 3 months.

Makes about 6 cups


Prep & making time:

Prep ~ 5 minutes

Making ~ 20 minutes

Total time ~ 25 minutes

** Gala apples work really well or choose another sweet tasting apple of your choice. The sweeter the apple tastes the sweeter the apple sauce will be! Make sure you buy organic!!!!

Majority of the nutrients found in apples is in the skin so buying organic is highly recommended to avoid heavy pesticide residue. Apples are high in vitamin C and potassium. Regular intake of apples has been shown to be associated with reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, asthma and type 2 diabetes.
