If you are feeling symptoms like you are fighting a cold or flu, this tea is magic! It's delicious and loaded with immune boosting and anti-inflammatory nutrients to help your body fight off a nasty bug!

Ingredients:
¼ cup fresh ginger, peeled and finely chopped
2 tbsp fresh turmeric root, peeled and finely chopped or 1 1/2 tsp turmeric, ground
1 cinnamon stick or 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
5-6 green cardamom seeds or 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
1 tsp coconut oil
6 cups water
Generous Dash freshly ground pepper
1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice per cup, add when serving
1/4 tsp organic honey per cup to stir in when serving (optional)
In a large pot with lid on, bring to a gentle boil over med/high heat water, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, coconut oil and freshly ground pepper. Reduce to med/low heat and simmer for about 10-15 minutes covered. Add lemon juice individual to each cup serving when ready to serve. Add honey (optional) to each serving once poured for a little bit of sweetness if you desire.
If you are fighting a cold or flu consume 3-6 cups of this tea per day. This recipe is intended to be made as a big batch and to be consumed over one day or two. It can be left on the stove covered as is and reheated when needed. If you will be consuming it over a few days store extra tea in an airtight glass jar in the fridge for up to 5 days and re-heat when needed. Enjoy!!
